Shou Zhang

Shuo has been tutoring for over 20 years in New York, Los Angeles, and Boston. She graduated from MIT with a BS in Biology and MS in Toxicology and Epidemiology. While there, she did cancer research and wrote her thesis on lung and colon cancer. She also sang in the choir, acted in plays, and played in the orchestra. After MIT, she worked in financial services in New York, while auditioning as an actor. Shuo subsequently earned an MFA in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California, winning a CBS fellowship before graduation. Shou also writes for television and occasionally gets booked on TV shoes in Los Angeles.

Shuo specializes in math, test prep (ACT, SAT, ISEE, HSTP, SSAT, and APs), and college application essays. She is deeply fascinated by how students process information and tailors her teaching methods to what best suits each student's learning modality. Through her years of teaching, Shuo has helped many students conquer their academic struggles to become fearless explorers of the world around them.
