Mark Nakahara earned a bachelor’s degree in Classical Languages and Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently working towards a law degree from Penn as well. Before returning to Penn, he taught all levels of Latin and Ancient Greek for five years at Scranton Preparatory School, a co-ed Jesuit high school in Scranton, PA. In addition to teaching, he worked as a senior staff member on archaeological projects in Portugal from 2011-2017. There, he excavated Roman-era structures while training field school students in archaeological excavation and survey, as well as basic ceramic analysis. In his free time, Mark enjoys reading, running, and watching obscure sports.
