Vocab & Grammar Essentials for the SAT
This is a 10-week program focused on improving SAT verbal scores in preparation for the August–October SAT tests.
Our standard SAT classes and tutoring fully cover both math and verbal content. Vocab & Grammar Essentials provides small-group practice, repetition to mastery, and timed drills to maximize verbal score growth. It is designed as a targeted enhancement to full SAT preparation.
The Structure of the SAT Reading & Writing Section
The SAT verbal section is composed of five key skill areas:
Sentence Completion
Short Reading Passages
Standard English
Transitional Words and Phrases
Research Questions
Vocabulary Development
Each of these five areas depends, to varying degrees, on a strong working vocabulary. Even when students understand the strategies and question types, unfamiliar language can limit performance.
Summer is the ideal time to build and strengthen SAT-level vocabulary — vocabulary that supports not only test performance, but also college-level reading and writing. Using real SAT questions and contextual practice, students will expand and refine their working vocabulary in meaningful, applicable ways.
Standard English (Grammar Mastery)
Standard English accounts for approximately 26% of the SAT Reading & Writing section. At its core, this portion tests essential grammar skills.
The SAT relies on a predictable set of question types. Because of this predictability, students can master the patterns and approach this section with confidence.
Students will develop strong command of:
• Punctuation
• Modifiers
• Verb tense and agreement
• Pronoun agreement
All instruction is delivered within the context of authentic SAT-style material, ensuring that grammar mastery translates directly to improved test performance.
Designed For:
Students scoring 550+ aiming for 650–750+
Students needing foundational Standard English and Vocabulary skills.

SAT Advanced Math
8-Week High-Level Math Add-On (650 → 800 Track)
SAT Advanced Math is a high-intensity add-on designed for students who are already strong in math and are determined to reach the 760–800 range on the SAT Math section.
This program focuses exclusively on the most difficult question types that consistently appear on the SAT — the questions students typically see near the end of the second Math module.
Led by Dr. Matt Joseph, this course trains students to recognize advanced patterns, eliminate inefficient approaches, and execute the most strategic solutions under time pressure.
Since the launch of the new digital SAT, we have carefully curated the highest-frequency advanced math questions that appear on the SAT exam. Students train on these exact problem styles through structured packet work. Students who complete the packets thoroughly typically score 760–800 on SAT Math.
Students will work through 12 rigorously designed advanced problem packets:
Weeks 1–6: High-difficulty packet training across all major SAT Math categories
Weeks 7–8: Comprehensive mastery review, speed refinement, and accuracy tightening
Packets are assigned prior to each session. Class time is devoted to strategic breakdowns, pattern recognition, and the most efficient execution methods.
This Course Is For:
Students currently scoring 650+ in SAT Math
Students targeting 1400–1500+ composite scores
Students who want advanced-level strategy beyond standard SAT preparation
Important: This course is a Math-only add-on and does not replace comprehensive SAT preparation.
Attendance Policy
This course follows a structured progression, and sessions build upon one another. There are no make-up classes. Students who miss a session will receive the assigned packet(s) and access to the recorded class to ensure continuity.
Space is limited to ensure high-level discussion, rapid feedback, and true mastery of the most difficult SAT math structures.
