JD Mariategui
SAT, ACT, & AP Exams
JD graduated magna cum laude from Brown University in 2015 with a B.A. in Comparative Literature and Hispanic Studies and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 2021. With over seven years of collegiate teaching experience at institutions such as Lehigh University and The University of Chicago, JD has taught a variety of subjects while fostering strong mentorship relationships with his students.
Bringing his passion for education to private tutoring, JD excels at making complex material approachable and relatable. In standardized test preparation, such as for the SAT, he helps students master the test’s structure and core concepts, paving the way for significant score improvements. As a National AP Scholar and AP Scholar with Distinction, JD also provides expert AP exam tutoring, equipping students with the tools they need for academic success.
