For over three decades, Jen has been a beacon of inspiration and guidance in the realm of middle and high school mathematics. She has experience teaching at  Upper Darby High School and, more recently, the Shipley School. A proud alumna of the University of Delaware, Jen holds a B.A. in Mathematics Education.

 

Further enhancing her expertise, she pursued and achieved an M.A. in Mathematics from Villanova University. With an unwavering passion for mathematics, Jen thrives on tailoring her teaching methodologies to the unique needs of each student, ensuring their comprehension and success. Her dedication to the craft is evident in every lesson she delivers, making mathematics both accessible and engaging for all her students.

Patrick Cassidy

Patrick Cassidy is a longtime educator at independent and charter schools, working with both middle and upper school students in a variety of mathematics disciplines.  In addition, Patrick has been advisor to extracurricular math clubs and a coach of multiple sports during his career.  As a teacher, advisor, coach and father of teenagers, Patrick strives to educate the whole child, attending to their development as community members as well as intellectual lives.  Patrick looks forward to working with students to help them achieve their academic goals.

Emilio Cacciavillani

Emilio’s students have a track record of extremely high scores on the AP Chemistry test, the SAT Chemistry Subject test, and on the chemistry and organic chemistry portions of the MCAT. Emilio is our expert in all levels of organic and inorganic chemistry. He earned a B.S. in chemistry from MIT and an M.S. in organic chemistry from UC Irvine before working as a medicinal chemist at SmithKline Beacham developing potential medications for AIDS.

Adam Sjoholm

Adam graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in computer science and then served in the Army for over five years. He completed his Army service in 2021 and decided to pursue his passion in science and medicine. Adam enrolled in the pre-health postbaccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania to complete his pre-medical courses in preparation for medical school. While studying at Penn, he also volunteered at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and began researching brain injury repair at the Perelman School of Medicine. He will be using the skills gained in these experiences when he starts medical school in the fall of 2024. Adam can tutor physics, chemistry (including organic chemistry), biology (including genetics), and computer science. Additionally, Adam can prepare others for the MCAT, having recently taken the exam and scoring in the 92nd percentile.

Adam believes that developing a fundamental understanding of science is like being granted a superpower. He hopes to share his enthusiasm for science with others and help students down the path of lifelong learning and curiosity.

She is an experienced tutor who have previously tutored AP Microeconomics and college microeconomics, as well as the SAT, CHSPE, AP Statistics, college statistics, and high school English.

Eusha Hasan

Eusha holds a B.A. in Physics, with a minor in Chemistry, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2022. As a student, Eusha was heavily involved in tutoring peers and younger students in Python, mathematics, and physics. He is passionate about explaining difficult concepts in a digestible manner, empowering his students to learn complex ideas by first understanding the fundamental principles. Eusha also enjoys making close friendships with each student, allowing him to personally tailor his tutoring strategy.

 

Through his rigorous study of the natural sciences, Eusha has become fluent in Python, arguably the most flexible and common coding language taught in high schools and colleges. He believes that with enough understanding of how to implement the basic tools and properly structure a project, anyone can learn to use Python.

Mark Nakahara

Mark Nakahara graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 with a degree in Classics. After graduation he taught all levels of Latin and Ancient Greek at Scranton Preparatory School, a co-ed private high school in Scranton, PA. In addition to teaching, Mark worked on the staff of the Santa Susana Archaeological Project in the summer, helping to oversee the excavation of a Roman villa in rural Portugal. After teaching for five years, Mark then entered law school, graduating from Penn Law in 2020. He now works as an attorney in Philadelphia but has never lost his love of the classics.
